2.) x=-9 (I know that the slope is -9, but because there is no y, does that mean it is 0?)[/quote]
y = ??? It doesn't have much of a Slope-Intercept form, does it? This is a special case you must learn to recognize. No mater whay 'y' is, x = -9. It is a vertical line. It has NO y-intercept, since that would require that x = 0 somewhere. It is called "No Slope" in the absence of anything better to call it.
Thank you! After I read your reply I did a mental head slap. I was so focused on trying to find the answer in the text, I forgot about horizontal and vertical lines. Duh! Again, thanks for the help!!
