Hello everyone. I have a problem that i'm stumped on right now. In my engineering class i am supposed to be able to figure out how far a 1inch steel ball bearing will roll along the ground after releasing it down an incline track. So far, i have recorded numerous time trials through laser gates using gate modes and pulse modes. Where should i start? I was thinking i should find the velocity of the ball and then use that in an acceleration equation, but then what?? how do i find the distance it will travel with that information?? thanks in advance.

What data do you have? What methods, formulas, or algorithms have you been taught?

Please be complete. Thank you! :D
