Finding the Domain of f(x) = x^2 (0<=x<=2), 2 (2<x<=4), 2x-5 (4<x<=5)
Hi all,
Really struggling to get my head around this one.. had maths head on all day and think im struggling a little more than usual....
Can somebody please offer advice on the exercise below, much appreciated. Thanks Cal.
\(\displaystyle \mbox{The func}\mbox{tion }\, f(x)\, \mbox{ is defined as:}\)
. . . . .\(\displaystyle f(x)\, =\, \begin{cases}\mbox{ }\, x^2 & \mbox{for }\, 0\, \leq\, x\, \leq\, 2 \\ \mbox{ }\, 2 & \mbox{for }\, 2\, <\, x\, \leq\, 4 \\ 2x\, -\, 5 & \mbox{for }\, 4\, < x\, \leq\, 5 \end{cases}\)
\(\displaystyle \mbox{Find the dom}\mbox{ain of the func}\mbox{tion.}\)
