A line passes through Point A (-8,7) and has a gradient of 4.
Find the value of the y-intercept of the line, denoted by c.

use the point-slope form of a linear equation ...

[MATH]y-y_1 = m(x-x_1)[/MATH]
... then simplify to slope-intercept form, [MATH]y=mx+b[/MATH]

...or y=mx+c. You are given m=4. So you can now say y=4x+c. Use the point to find c.
