Here is my limit problems:

5x^2-2 / 4x+5
lim ->oo

I would take the highest power of x in the denominator and divide the numerator and denominator by x.

5x-0 / 4+0

Answer: no limit oo

and

3x^2 - 2x +1 / 6x +3
Answer: no limit oo

Any help is greatly appreciated.

both of your answers are correct.
My approach would be different
oo is infinity

1)
lim x-->oo of [5x^2-2] / [4x+5] improper fraction
by division
lim x-->oo of {5/4x -25/16 +93/[16(4x+5)] }
oo -25/16 +0
oo answer

2)
[3x^2-2x+1] / [6x+3] improper fraction divide
x/2 -7/12 + {11/4[6x+3] }
lim x-->oo
oo -7/12 +0
oo answer
