Finding the volume of a bead

There is a bead (like the kind you put a string through and wear as a necklace) diagrammed here: http://i712.photobucket.com/albums/ww12 ... Slide1.jpg

I am supposed to find the volume of the bead. (so basically the volume of the entire thing minus the volume of the hold cut through it)

please help!

What is the equation for volume of a sphere?

What is the equation for volume of a cylinder (the hole)?

volume of sphere = 4/3 ? r3
olume of a cylinder = ? r² h

Please work through the problem and show me step by step how to do it because i am stuck at the beginning.

What is the radius (r) of the bead?

What is the volume of the bead (without the hole)? .........(1)

What is the radius of the hole (the height of the hole is same as the diameter of the bead)?

What is the Volume of the hole? .......................(2)

Subtract (2) from (1) to get the answer.
