Hey everyone. This problem is just stumping me all together. I am learning more about this stuff, but need help with this problem.

Ok so there are two triangles next to each other. These triangles share a point which is point O. The left triangle has side lengths of 8,5, and x. The right one has side lengths 16, 10, and x.

How do you prove these are similar with a flow chart?

HINT: I believe you use SAS conjecture.

Thanks

Oh and the other angles are lableled. The top of left triangle is M, bottom is P, and shared point is O. Then the triangle on the right's top is N, bottom is T, and shared is O.

These 2 triangles are NOT similar. Does the right one have a side = 2x?

No it doesnt have 2x,b tut they are similar bec. they have same ratio. You would use SAS. How can i prove they are similar

Like Denis said - if the third side is not 2x (i.e. 16,10,2x) then those are not similar triangles.
