It is possible to have a unit on the numerator of a fraction as in (2 lbs)/3 or (2/3) lbs.

Is it possible or logical to have a fraction with a unit on the denominator but not on the numerator as in 2/(3 lbs)?

I suppose that 3/4 can be divided by 4 lbs., but this method may not make sense: (3/4)/4 lbs. = 3/(16 lbs).

It depends on the context.
Are you doing ratios e.g. 3/4ml: 4lbs. If so you need units for the 3/4.
Or are you asking if you have 3/4 lbs and divide it into 4 equal parts?

Neither! I just want to know how the demominator of a fraction can have units and not the numerator.
3/4 divided by 4 lbs. will do this, but it may not make sense.
