I have this formula :

2n(byx/25) = f.

How can I represent f as a function of b?

If I understand your question, you can't do what you are asking.

I am assuming that b, n, x, and y are all variables. f can be represented as the dependent variable in a multivariate function as follows

\(\displaystyle f = G(b,\ n,\ x,\ y) = \dfrac{bnxy}{25}.\)

f is not a function of b alone, but of four variables, of which b is one. Your formula already expresses that.

Now possibly you asking a different question entirely, namely how to construct a formula for b.

I believe you are right in that I am approaching this scenario with the wrong understanding of how the variables work together. My problem is in the units of the variables..

thanks for clarifying that its not possible to do in that form!

We would be happy to help with that if you wish. What EXACTLY is your problem, and where are you having trouble?
