Let f(x)=x2-1 and g(x)=1-2x

f(g(1)) and g(f(1)) :?

I simply cannot express how difficult it is to help without an actual problem statement. What is to be done with f and g?

Are the instructions perhaps something along the lines of "evaluate the following"?

Are the functions perhaps something along the lines of "f(x) = x² - 1" and "g(x) = 1 - 2x"?

Oh, so f(g(1)) WAS the problem statement.

Really Big Hint:

Can you find g(1)?
Can you find f(-1)?

This is a queston that the answer is the book and the answer is 0,1. I can't figure the process out.
