Hi, I have this problem for a geometry assignment, but I'm not sure how to complete it. I know the scale factor is 3/1 or 3, (which I'm pretty sure is right,) but that's not what they are asking for. It's asking for x and y values. Help?

What happens to a segment with length x+1 under a dilation with scale factor 3? Since the result is 2x+8, you can write an equation and solve it for x.

Then do the same for the angles y+16 and 3y-14 (which will have quite a different relationship).
