Geometry: find distance between Joe's starting, ending pts

In a lawn game, Joe walked from point O to point P as shown below. He walked North 100m, then east 60m, finally 20m south. What is the distance between Joe's starting points and his ending point? Answer: 100 need to know step by step solution.

he is 80 north and 60 east of starting point
x=[60^2+80^2]^1/2
x=[3600+ 6400]^1/2
x=1000^1/2
x = 10 sqrt10 answer

The answer is suppose to be 100, but I didn't know how to solve it.

100 is correct; Arthur made a slight typo:
x=[3600+ 6400]^1/2
x=1000^1/2 : should be x = 10000^(1/2), hence 100
