Question:

Given: XA≅XB; YA≅YB

Prove: XO⊥AB

Statements:

1. XA≅XB
2. Arc AX≅Arc XB
3. X bisects Arc AB
4. YA≅YB
5. Y bisects AB
6. XO⊥AB

And I'm assuming your supposed to come up with the reasons behind each statement.
I just really don't get this so if you can help me out that would be great.
I'll attach a picture of the circle.

I just really don't get this

This request for help is too vague for me to guess what you need in order to begin working on this exercise.

At what point in this exercise do you first get stuck? Is it the symbols that you don't understand?

Your posted assumption is correct. They provided a proof; you need to justify each step in their proof by stating the applicable theorem, corollary, or property from those you've been taught.

The volunteers on these boards generally do not teach classroom material, but we're available to answer specific questions.

Cheers
