The problem reads...
Give answer in slope-intercept form.Use te point -slope formula(if possible) to writean equation of the line given the following information.
The slope is 4 and the line passes through the point (-3,-6).

Write the problem in slope/intercept form slope is 9 (-3,-2)

The equation of a line with a slope m and passing through (x[sub:331gylqp]1[/sub:331gylqp], y[sub:331gylqp]1[/sub:331gylqp]) is:

\(\displaystyle y \, - y_1 \, = \, m\cdot (x \, - x_1)\)

then distribute and simplify.....

Re: give slope-intercept form for line w/ slope 4 passing thru

You have x=-2, y=-3 and m=9

Slope intercept form is y=mx+b. Plug in your knowns and solve for b(y intercept). You're done.
