Pi is approximated by 3.14.

The radius is half of the diameter, so if diameter is 8, radius is 4. If diameter is 1.25, radius is 1.25/2 = 0.625.

Where did you get that paper? Apparently whoever wrote that did not know that the proper transliteration of the Greek letter, \(\displaystyle \pi\), is "pi", not "pie"!
