Hi everyone,

I wondering if it's possible to resolve the following differential equation for 'k'? If so, could someone guide me through the process of resolving it?

Thank you very much!

Best Regards

If I were to solve this problem, I would substitute:

z + zo = x

and rest of the fractional constants with U, V, W, etc.

\(\displaystyle U \frac{d}{dx}[x*\frac{dk}{dx}] + \frac{V}{x} - \frac{Wk^2}{x} = 0 \)

continue......

Thank you very much for replying.

The part where I'm puzzled is the 'd/dx' in front of the bracket. I'm not sure how to deal with it. My attempt was to multiplying the whole equation by 'dx' and bringing all the term with 'dx' on the right side of the equality and keeping the term with 'dk' on left side......and I end up with something like so:

Is that ok?
