It's a quadratic equation. I suggest multiplying both sides by 3 and rearranging:

2tanx - 3tan^2x = 3

0 = 3tan^2x - 2tanx + 3

Now apply the quadratic formula.

(Hint: You may have trouble finding real solutions.)

Ok so I applied the quadratic formula and I ended up getting negative 32 in the square root of the formula.So I don't have any real solutions.
