Here is the problem:

Your task as a social worker is to decide which of two programs (A or B) to use to help troubled teens. To help make your decision, you decide to review the data for two groups of teens who had already completed either program A or B. The scores below are the data: they reflect how well (or poorly) each of the programs performed in the past for the 8 teens who participated in Program A, and the 8 teens who participated in Program B) (i.e., their outcomes). (0 = very poor outcomes, 5 = average outcomes, 10 = very good outcomes).
Program AProgram A Outcome-Program BProgram B Outcome
Teen 15Teen 10
Teen 25Teen 21
Teen 35Teen 32
Teen 45Teen 45
Teen 55Teen 55
Teen 67Teen 69
Teen 78Teen 79
Teen 88Teen 89
[Note: the values do NOT represent a sequence over time, just the final result for each of the 16 individuals who participated, 8 teens in each program]

Based on these results, which program would you support? Why? Support your position with 1 statistic that you have learned. (do NOT use z scores for this exercise)

I found the standard deviation for the two programs, program A is 1.14, and program B is 3.74 but unsure if they're correct and unsure of how to explain which program to support
