Hello,
I'm having trouble determining the answers for these Padé approximation problems. I recently started learning about this, but I don't really understand it yet. Any help with either of these problems is greatly appreciated. I think for problem 1 I need to choose p0 through p4 and q1, q2 and part of the expression should look something like this: (1 + q1x + q2x2) - (p0 + p1x + p2x2+ p3x3 + p4x4), but beyond that, I really don't know.
Here are the problems:
1. Determine all Padé approximations for f(x) = x ln(x+1) of degree 3. Compare
the results at xi = 0.2i for i = 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, with the actual values f(xi).
2. Included in the attachment.
Again, any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
