I've gotten this far with this problem.
D^2/144 = h for D=1.2 sqrt of h.
So D^2/144 = h.
Now the second part is:
"Long’s Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, is 14,255 feet in elevation. How far can you see to the horizon from the top of Long’s Peak? Can you see Cheyenne, Wyoming (about 89 miles away)? Explain your answer."
So would it be D^2/144 = 14,255? If that's the case can someone walk me through solving this?
