I may have a slightly different question...

I am the inventor of Woud: wooden blocks in the shape of a U with 1 longer leg. I have already made quite a few designs, both in 2D and 3D, as can be seen on my website (woud.shop).

Now I wonder if there is someone with more mathematical insight than me, who, based on the shape of Woud, can help me to devise/calculate beautiful models (perhaps automatically)?

Very nice/ clever! Glad that you're using wood and not plastic! ?

Reminds me of "tangram puzzles" where you have to arrange the pieces to make a certain shape.

I can envisage a computer program that would show all possible ways of joining, say, 9 Woud (anyone for golf?) together. There "woud" be many different possibilities, and you'd have to filter the beautiful looking ones manually. Is this the kind of thing you have in mind?
