What don't you understand? Do you mean, what words are allowed, or how to do it?

There are probably many ways to count these, but I might start by thinking about how I could form such a word. I might choose either I, O, or A to go at the start, then choose another to get at the end; and then from the 5 letters remaining, fill in the middle. How many ways can each step be done?
