ok, i did this problem a million times, and i can never get the right answer. I got them wrong on my homework, and when i asked the teacher if she could help me, they said no, so can anyone help me, and show them out by each step!

1) Mark and Jules jog around a circular track that is 500 meters long. Jules' rate is 250 meters per minute, while Mark's rate is only 230 meters per minute. In how many minutes will Jules be a full lap ahead? Begin by drawing a diagram of distances traveled and writing the distance equation.

"A full lap ahead" is just 500 meters ahead. After t minutes, Mark has traveled 230t meters, and Jules has traveled 250t minutes. So when Jules is 500 meters ahead, then 250t = 230t + 500.
