hey i am stuck on a problem here it is

State Per Capita Revenue Per Capita Expenditure
Delaware 2329 4480
Florida 1368 2532
Hawaii 2601 5023
Indiana 1444 2631
Kentucky 1671 3049
Massachusetts 2045 4095
North Carolina 1623 2898
Oklahoma 1399 2807
Tennessee 1163 2599

a. Show the data on a scatter plot. Draw a trend line.
b. IF a state collected revenue of $ 2000 per capita in taxes, how much would you expect it to spend per capita?
c. Virginia spent $2654 per capita during that year. According to your model, how much did it collect in taxes per captita?
d. In that same year, Alaska collected $2503 per capita in taxes and spent $9274 per capita. Does this information follow the trend? Explain.

Here are my answers
a. i do not know how to graph
b. is it 3839.98?
c. is it 1372.16?
d. No?

a) Measure "revenue" on the x-axis, "expenditure" on the y-axis, and draw the (x, y) dots. Put a ruler through the dots, lining up as best you can (and this will only be an "eyeballed" guess), and draw a line.

b) Look on your graph. For x = 2000, what is the y-value?

c) Look on your graph. For y = 2654, what is the x-value?

d) Plot the new point (x, y) = (2503, 9274). Does this appear to lie on (or close to) your line?

I know how to graph it i meant i didnt know how to graph it on the computer. I want to know if my answers are correct though.

I can't help you with whatever software you have installed on your computer. You'll need to consult the "help" files for instruction.

I want to know if my answers are correct though.
The "correctness" of your answers will depend upon the regression equation you're using, but I'm getting answers close to yours, so you're at least in the neighborhood.
