Romsek gave you a correct answer, but I prefer another way because fractions seem to cause mistakes. So I would get rid of the fractions right away by multiplying both sides of the equation by the product of the denominators.

\(\displaystyle \dfrac{14}{11} + \dfrac{3x}{8} = \dfrac{x}{2} \implies 11 * 8 * 2 * \left(\dfrac{14}{11} + \dfrac{3x}{8}\right) = 11 * 8 * 2 * \dfrac{x}{2} \implies\)

\(\displaystyle (8 * 2 * 14) + (11 * 2 * 3x) = 11 * 8 * x \implies\)

\(\displaystyle 224 + 66x = 88x \implies\)

\(\displaystyle 22x = 224 \implies\)

\(\displaystyle x = \dfrac{224}{22} = \dfrac{112}{11}.\)

Same result. Fewer fractions.
