Hey guys,

I am working on this assignment for my Psychology Statistics and am having some trouble with finding the critical value and beta..

Here is the question:
Assume the Null Hypothesis that male and female students are equally likely to sign up for our Statistics class. If the Alternate Hypothesis is that the probability of a male signing up is 0.3, alpha is set at 0.05, and n is 25, what is the critical value of y, and what will Beta be? Show that you have used both the regular and cumulative binomial tables to compute and check your answers.

this is what I've got so far..
so H1: p=.05, H0: p=0.3, n=25, and alpha less than/equal to 0.05..

Then I used the cumulative binomial table in the back of my text and found 0.44 = critical value 11.5 using the bottom right of the table.

Would Beta = 0.345???

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
