Question says Find the line that satisfies the given condition.

Through (4,5); parallel to the y-axis?

Since it is parallel to ya axis I can use (0, any number) for coordinates?

If so I use

(0,4) (0,2)

(4-2)/(0-0)=M
M=2

Slope=2

y=mx+b
5=2(4)+b
5=8+b
-3=b

b=-3
 
Does the y-axis have a slope of 2? Then why does your "parallel" line?

How will any line, parallel to the y-axis, intersect the y-axis? So how could any such line have a y-intercept "b"?

And, no, it's horizontal lines that have a slope of zero, not vertical lines.

You need to review your concepts of slope, "increasing" and "decreasing" lines, horizontal and vertical lines, and "positive", "negative", "zero", and "undefined" slopes. This question is designed to test your understanding of these concepts.

I have been reading on slopes and parallel lines and it seems that x=4 because the line is parallel to the y axis and the coordinate of every point must be 4
