How do I figure odds of winning at blackjack?

Here is my project:

Figure out the odds for:

blackjack

getting an A in class


I am supposed to use algebra problems to show how I determine these two things and this is the only information I was given by my Honors Algebra II teacher. I am guessing that I am supposed to figure out the odds of my winning in blackjack and the odds of my earning at least 93% in class to get an A.

Can anyone tell me how to go about this? I am not even sure where to start.
