b ^2 + 3b over2 =9 over 2 i dont know where to begin can i factor the 3 and 9?

Assuming you mean "(b2 + 3b)/2 = 9/2", a good start would be to multiply through by 2, thus clearing the denominators. Then solve the remaining quadratic equation.

Factoring the 9 and the 3 would not, as near as I can tell, provide any useful information. Applying the Quadratic Formula might.

Get someone to SHOW YOU how to post; that should be: b^2 + 3b/2 = 9/2

Your question "can I factor the 3 and the 9" indicates you have no idea
what you're doing.

Can you solve this for x: x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0 ?

Do you have a teacher?
Is this homework?
