I'm so incredibly rusty in math, it's embarrassing. I can tell I will need to get some classes. Anyway, my daughter has a math workbook that asks the following:
"What is the percent of success in Game 8?"
Game 8 stats: 13 attempts, 4 goals
Answer: 30.8% success
OK, so we divide 4 by 13, and get .3076, and if we move the decimal over two places, I see how they got 30.8%. But I cannot explain why we divide 4 by 13, nor can I explain why we move the decimal. I just know we do.
Any help is appreciated.
