and 22 goes to 1.5 (22 : 1.5)

what would 12 go to?? (12 : ?)

Hello, and welcome to FMH!

It appear the output is [MATH]\frac{3}{44}[/MATH] of the input, of:

[MATH]f(x)=\frac{3}{44}x[/MATH]
Hence:

[MATH]f(12)=\frac{3}{44}\cdot12=\frac{9}{11}[/MATH]

Another way to get at it:

11/(0.75) = 12/x .......................................(here : is like division)

x = 12* 0.75/11 = 9/11
