The area covered by a marsh, \(\displaystyle A\), starts at \(\displaystyle 17,000\) acres and drops by \(\displaystyle \frac{1}{3}\) each year for \(\displaystyle n\) years. Write a formula for \(\displaystyle A\, =\, f(n)\).
I've tried 17000(1/3)^n and multiple variations of it to no avail. Could really use some help setting up the equation.
