This one is driving me mad, I have to make x the subject of this;

10(x+y) = 5(x-y)

Any help really appreciated.

Have you considered the Distributive Property of Multiplication over Addition? Demonstrate.

Very likely your difficulty, if you got through the distribution step, was in the next to last step. You will have two terms containing x; you'll have to factor x from those terms.

This is why we ask you to show work, so we can tell where you are having trouble. If you had, we might have finished helping by now (though the delays caused by moderation might still get in the way).
