Replacing each weight with the indicated value or variable, this becomes

Mary is 7 kg heavier than Amy
52 kg is 7 kg heavier than e kg.

Can you see the answer now?

Can you turn the sentence into an equation and solve it?

I'll solve a different but similar problem for you

Joe is 15 lbs heavier than Gus. If Gus's weight is X lbs while Joe's weight is 185 lbs, determine the value of X.

Joe is 15 lbs heavier than Gus. \(\displaystyle \to \)

X = Gus's weight = Joe's weight - 15 lbs\(\displaystyle \to \)

Gus's weight = 185 - 15 = 170 lbs\(\displaystyle \to \) X = 170 lbs

Follow the same procedure for your problem.
