i need help

A and D are immediately out because the graphs are going down (decreasing) as x increases but multiplying 2 by x gets larger as x gets larger. (The "slope", 2, is positive while A and D have negative "slope".)

B and C are increasing, so have positive slope but B clearly goes through the origin, (0, 0), while, when x= 0, 2x+ 5= 2(0)+ 5= 5 so goes through (0, 5). (The "y-intercept" is 5.)

I don't like the choices of graphs for the equation. There are no markings on the
axes to indicate spacing. Are we not to assume the horizontal and vertical axes
have spacing that are equal to the same number necessarily? If we are to assume
equal spacing, I cannot justifiably eyeball an approximate slope of 2 from either
choice B or choice C.

I'll buy what you said. What about including the y intercept in deciding between B and C?
