Hey there, im not sure if this is the right category for this, but can anybody tell me if this two equations will give me the same result? It's the same equation, but the second is a bit simplified, but I'm not sure if it's correct or not. Thanks.

One way to check would be to assign some arbitrary values to m₁, c, t₁ , t , m & C - and calculate the value of l_t. If both the equations give you the same value of l_t, you most probably have done the simplification correctly.

Please tell us what you find.

Simplified by who? If not by you then, why don't you try to solve for [imath]l_t[/imath] using algebra to see if you can get the same thing?
