Is my percent calculation correct?

Can't you see that 108 is 8 more than 100 without doing all those calculations?
It really should be 108% is 8% more than 100%.

It won't hurt by why do the extra calculation?
It is like no matter what addition problem I give you, you first compute what 123 * 534 equals. It is just a waste of time.
