Is there a convention regarding the order in which sin and cos terms are written.

I am working through some differentiation problems where my solutions do not agree with the given solutions. I know both are correct but just wondered if there is a convention as to what term comes first, cos or sin?

My solution 3(x2cos3x - (x3+2)sin3x)
Given solution -3((x3 + 2)sin3x - x2cos3x)

Logically, I would say it is better not to have the expression starting with a negative!

I do not know of a convention.

Sometimes, we write the "negative" sign out-side when we expect the answer to be negative.
