Then I recommend
1) Go back and read the problem carefully. If it really "The cost of a vehicle is $5,980. Calculate the cost of the car.", then the problem is easy- the answer is $5980. But that's probably not what the problem says! So, as I said, go back and read the problem carefully to see what it really says.

2) Now, do you know how to find 8% of a number? That's the first step.
