Needing no introduction, wise reportedly know first sounds (5)

How do you "read" this: "wise reportedly know first sounds" ?

Not sure what I'm asking myself...doesn't sound like a
sentence that a Lit teacher would accept :)

Please feel free to ask your question again, once you figure it out ...

In the meantime (emphasis on mean), a Lil teacher may consider the fact that many of my crypts are written using headline-style prose. That is, lots of articles have been dropped.

If that confounds Lil teachers, then try this scenario: Were babies to begin understanding human speech sounds straight out of the birth canal (secondary to mad scientists in China), then they would be very wise babies, indeed. We could then surmise that the wise reportedly know "first" sounds without needing any introduction to them at all.

If any teachers are still upset with the surface, my next suggestion for them is to try jumping into a Great Lake!

:p

Direct = sounds
Answer = NOISE

Needing no introduction, wise = ISE
reportedly know = NO
first = placement indicator

?

I don't "see" why "sounds" is used; why isn't it "sound"?
Or is answer both singular and plural?
