I wonder if anyone out there could show me how to answer the question below showing each step of the equation.
Thanks
Tiffany decides to take £900 and invest part of it at 12% and the rest at 9%. If her total return was £96, how much did she invest at each rate?”

Do you have a book? What section are you in? What examples were given?

Did you peruse "Read Before Posting"? You should have to show your work. If you TRULY have no idea, you have been skipping class or maybe you're in the wrong class.

Rule #1 - Name Stuff

T = Amount invested at 12%

N = Amount invested at 9%

Now what?

I have no book. I'm 50 years of age and haven't done mathematics since i left school. I'm applying for another job and these sort of questions may be in the assessment. If someone could solve this problem showing each stage of the equation is all I need. Thank you.
