linear equations

This is my problem. I am so confused.

Solve the system of linear equations:
x - y + z = 5
3x + 2y - z = -2
2x + y + 3z = 10

If the solution is (x,y,z), the x=

Would x = 1 or -1. I am not sure if i am doing it right. I have gotten both answers and my friend got 2 for an answer.

Just for the record, I get x = 1
