When Wang was calculating the amount of marbles to calculate for a project, he accidentally divided by 2 when he should have multiplied by 2. The answer he got was 64. The correct answer should have been?

so, n/2 = 64. we can assume n is 128?

but how do we figure out n *2 ?

This problem does not make sense - ill-posed.

If other operations were conducted after the mistake (and before the mistake) then it is impossible to answer.

May be you read the question incorrectly , its the requirement of the question itself . ;-)
