Can anyone help with writing an expression that matches the following:

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you're supposed to be doing with this. You are given that there are "p" pictures in the album. For what are you supposed to create an expression?

all that was given in the instructions was. Write an expression that matches the words.
one of the problems was
5 times the number of students, s, in a class
we figured it to be 5xs
but we couldn't figure out
a number of pictures, p, in an album

we figured it to be 5xs

"5s" would be correct.

but we couldn't figure out "a number of pictures, p, in an album"

I'm drawing a blank, too. Other than just saying "p", I don't see what they're wanting from you.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. Maybe somebody more clever than us will come along with clarification.
