My teacher did not tell me the formal for the average velocity or velocity. I find something about it in this link https://www.khanacademy.org/science...locity/v/average-speed-velocity-with-examples but I do not get it. She also never taught me about it

average velocity=dispacement/time

In the question I think you can assume that Ingrid "turns the boat off" at t=0 and it meets the dock at t=10. Can you calculate the distance from the boat to the dock at these two times? Then, using these two results, calculate the boat's displacement during the 10s interval?
