Max/Min values

I have a really quick question.

When determining the maximum or minimum point on a parabola, do you look at the x-value or the y-value?

Yes. Generally, that refers to the maximum 'y'-value.

Thank you. I thought it was the y-value, but when I looked at my lecture notes, there was one where the maximum was an x value...maybe my professor made a mistake and no one caught it.
