Hello, what does it mean: "Distribution D over set X".
Does it mean that if I have a set [MATH]X[/MATH], say [MATH]X=\{x_1, x_2,...,x_n\}[/MATH] (some point), than, distribution [MATH]D[/MATH] (function) over set [MATH]X[/MATH], would mean that, the distribution [MATH]D[/MATH], gives me the probability for every element in [MATH]X[/MATH] being realized? Like [MATH] \mathbb{P}(x_1) = 1/3, \mathbb{P}(x_2) = 1/2.. [/MATH]Thx for clarifying this basic concept.
