Hi, I am working on a great (and heavy) paper that relate to trigo, geometry, and algebra, and I got the following equation:

It is an equation with 4 unknowns, and I do not need to solve it, I just need to know if it a false or true expression.

Can anybody give me a direction? I kind of tried everything, and it does not go pretty well for me by now.

What are some of the things you have tried? On the one hand you say that you do not need to solve it and on the other you want to know whether it is true. Are you asking whether it is true under some conditions [I suspect it is] or whether it is true in all circumstances [I have no idea]?

Have you tried to simplify the equation a bit 'for special circumstances'? For example if \(\displaystyle \gamma_1\)=0, it seems as though the equation would greatly simplify. Does it appear as though there is a 'simple' solution in that case. If so, you would at least know that there are circumstances for which it is true.

Which part of the equation is the intended expression? What do you mean by its being "false or true"? (I'm pretty sure we'd need to know everything that went into creating the expression, and maybe the whole equation, before we could even begin to answer that question.)

The LHS of the equation looks like

(A - B/C)/(D - E/C)

Have you tried to simplify it? (i.e. convert it to a form similar to [C*A - B]/[C*D - E])

What did you get?
