Good morning,
i read the following paragraph from the thesis entitled " Least Squares Estimation of the Pareto Type I and II Distribution".
In this paragraph he said that the table is a Monte Carlo sample of 20 order statistics. but the table contains 40 elements. why he took 40 elements instead of 20 elements?
The elements in this table is it Xi as defined in his equations (red rectangles):
