Here is the cleanest way I know how to do these problems. You need to add/subtract the terms. The terms are separated by addition and subtraction symbols. You can write (or at least think) 7-4+3x0+1 as 7,4,3x0,1. So now you have the terms (7,4,3x0 and 1). You know the value of each term except for 3x0 which is 0. Now that we know the value of each term we can add and subtract the term. So we have 7-4+0+1=3+0+1=3+1=4A lot of people do get this following problem incorrect however you will get this correct with explanation
